
Andrew is from northern Indiana. He got interested in cars at a young age and was going to become a technician but found his niche in managing. He had his first opportunity at 19 as the store manager at Advance Auto Parts, and has been managing for 17 years in many different roles. He is a family man who enjoys spending time with his wife and five kids. Andrew is heavily involved in his local church and his faith in Christ is a big reason he landed at Mike Johns Imports. Our level of integrity and how we go to business matches his core values. He is proud to represent Mike Johns Imports as the manager.
Sam started in the car business in 2013 working for MINI of Louisville as a porter. He found an interest in fixing cars by watching the technicians he worked with. After 2 years, he started as a base mechanic. After MINI left Louisville in 2019, he became a diagnostic technician at Mercedes Benz of Louisville for over 2 years. He was then recruited as the master technician at Mitsubishi where he would move up to becoming their Parts and Service Manager. Sam joined our team as one of our Service Advisors in early 2022 where he now works alongside his father Paul Baird. He has twin boys with his wife Hailey and outside of work he enjoys his hobby as an amateur Photographer.
Jake started on two wheels at an early age and moved to four when he turned 16, and he has been turning wrenches ever since. He is a graduate of Wyoming Technical Institute and the Elite Masters Program. He is happily married to his wife Jordan and together they have 3 dogs. Jake is also a Marine Corp Veteran. Jake recently stepped out from behind the toolbox to the front counter at MJI to help customers find a solution to their car’s service needs.
Brad started working on cars after school during his sophomore year of high school. He went on to Wyoming Technical Institute and after graduating was invited to attend the BMW STEP Program in Orlando, FL. This led to an entry level technician job at Sam Swope BMW, where he was a technician for 13 years. He also worked at Louisville Fine Motor Cars Service for 7 years before coming to MJ Imports in 2019. Outside of work he enjoys fishing, hunting, racing, and spending time with friends and family, including his wife and two children.
David’s love for cars started when he was 16 and got his first car, a 1996 Acura Integra. He began modifying it with bolt-on parts but always remembers having to pay a local shop to install them. At 18 and at the encouragement of his best friend, he attended the Wyoming Technical Institute. After 9 months at tech school he began working at Carmax where he learned the trade of auto mechanics. After 2 years at Pep Boys, he began working at MINI of Louisville where he worked for 6 years and even met his wife. After a few more years at the MINI dealership and time spent at the BMW dealership, he joined the team at MJI as a MINI service technician. When he’s not working, David loves to spend time with his wife, 3 beautiful children and their 2 dogs.
Dan grew up in Central New Jersey, where his father taught him all about cars. After graduating vocational school, he started working for Goodyear. He spends his off days with his 2 boys and enjoying boats, motorcycles and drag racing. He is well known in the Pro Street scene in Louisville, often showing up to local meets in his ’57 Chevy on slicks. He spent 18 years working at the BMW dealer before joining the MJI team as a master technician.
Mark started working on cars in 1987. In 2010, he decided he wanted to specialize with a brand and chose to begin with his passion of BMW. After hours, Mark and his wife of 30 years both volunteer at Cat Heads Kitty Rescue and Alley Cat Advocates. He has rescued countless furry friends and takes care of them until he finds them loving homes. His favorite place to vacation to is in Cali near any amusement park. He is a nut for roller coasters and makes it a point to ride as many as possible
